Why Background location permission in the Driver App?

Since our application is related to delivery and our Participating Rider needs to know where is the pickup and also drop off location and also we as a company need to know the current location of our Participating Rider to manage them accordingly, so we need to have access to the location. when he gets online, we need his location to send the nearest request to him. so we need background location permission.
